Chopper Twirls Out of Control into Palm Trees at Popular Southern California Shoreline
A chopper hovering over a well-attended California shoreline abruptly started spinning wildly, ultimately dropping height and smashing into a row of palm fronds as onlookers looked on.
Footage uploaded on the internet depict the aircraft starting to spin near the beach then falling in the direction of the border of the coast, where it ends up lodged amidst palm groves and a set of stairs close to the Pacific Coast highway.
First Aid Details
Local firefighters stated five individuals were taken to hospital comprising two individuals who were in the aircraft and were “rescued from the debris” following the crash on Saturday.
Three persons on the road were hurt. Specifics on their condition were not immediately available.
The reason for the accident was not yet disclosed.
